This will be another important investment in the Culture Zone in Katowice. A multi-storey car park is to be created here, blending in with the existing architecture of the Silesian Museum grounds and the International Congress Centre. At QLAB Laboratory of Light, we have developed a concept for the illumination and lighting of the area of the designed car park, pavements and road entrances, as well as the green roof of the building, which will be a kind of recreational space. The design of the Fabryczna Office Park complex in Cracow, prepared by the Cracow architectural practice IMB Asymetria, has opened up great opportunities for lighting designers. Specialists from QLAB Laboratory of Light have prepared a design for the illumination of the buildings and the spaces between them. In the case of the B4 and B5 office buildings, the project takes up the leading motif of the horizontal arrangement of the facade divisions, while in the B6 building it emphasizes the spatial tectonics of the facade. As a lighting element for this building, we proposed a triangular panel attached to the underside of the facade panel and shining downward. The diverse image of the facade is created by luminaires with varying color temperatures of white light in the range of 2,200 K to 8,000 K.

The basic lighting of the Cavatina Hall concert hall in Bielsko-Biała was designed by our studio with close reference to its architectural form and functional requirements. Not only does it ensure safe and comfortable use of the hall - for the audience, musicians and technical staff alike - but it also harmonises perfectly with the stage lighting. In terms of the power supply and control of the concert hall's lighting, we came up with an innovative solution - a central driver system that uses the DMX/Art-Net protocol and is fully coordinated with the stage technology.

A well-designed building illumination system can brilliantly bring out from the gloom not only its mass, but also highlight interesting details. However, the final effect is also influenced by the surroundings and how they are lit. While working on the project for the illumination of St Valentine's Shrine in Bieruń - a wooden church dating back to the beginning of the 17th century - we tackled two issues. Firstly, we prepared an illumination project bringing out the magnificent nuances of the building's architecture from the darkness. Secondly, we demonstrated the impact of the surrounding lighting on the perception of the proposed illumination of the church.

We are extremely pleased to announce the great success of 'our' projects. We are very proud that our light design has contributed to the shaping of such outstanding architecture, and the effects, of our work give satisfaction and a sense of comfort to the users of further very good buildings.

The Sports and Leisure Centre in Warsaw's Żoliborz district will undergo a thorough modernisation. At the initial design stage, the QLAB Laboratory of Light prepared a concept for the lighting of the area and the external illumination of the facilities. The concept assumes, on the one hand, the least possible interference of lighting elements in the space, and on the other hand, the introduction of characteristic lighting elements alluding to balls scattered in the area for various sports disciplines.        

After more than two decades of existence, the Kupiec Poznański shopping and office centre building is about to be subjected to a metamorphosis, with a partial change of function to a hotel. Our studio prepared a design for the external illumination of the building, in the planned hotel part. The design assumes a linear lighting system with visible luminance of light sources, to subtly highlight the characteristic elements of the building's geometry, while respecting the building's surroundings and avoiding excessive ambient lighting.        

QLAB Laboratory of Light does not only design ready-made lighting solutions. We also carry out the development of a variant analysis of the daylighting of buildings at a very preliminary design or even conceptual stage.We take a little closer look at one of the analyses on our LinkedIn profile.

The lighting design being prepared for the 'Małopolanka' guesthouse in Krynica Zdroj includes the restaurant room and the cellar below it, as well as the SPA area, consisting of the reception desk, sauna rooms and surgeries. Our aim is, on the one hand, to fit into the context of the architecture of the interwar period, on the other hand, to ensure optimal lighting of the individual rooms, and on the third, to add unique light sources that can become new distinguishing features of the facility.

The monumental structure of the blast furnace of the Pokój steelworks in Ruda Śląska, closed since 2005, is one of the objects on the Industrial Monuments Route of the Silesian Voivodeship. The lighting and illumination concept being prepared for the industrial area in Lubartow, where the base of the Dako Printing House continues to expand, includes both the existing buildings and those planned for construction. Apart from the most representative zone, i.e. the one located directly in front of the office building, the rest of the area will also gain interesting and functional lighting concepts. Zielona Dolina to projekt aparthotelu i budynku usługowego w Poznaniu. Jest bardzo osadzony w otaczającym krajobrazie - łagodnie wznoszący się teren przechodzi w zazielenioną elewację. W stanie „zerowym”, czyli bez jakiejkolwiek iluminacji zewnętrznej elewacja będzie odbierana jako ciemna bryła z rozświetlonymi wnękami loggi, z których sączyć się będzie światło pochodzące z wnętrz mieszkań. To kolejny wspaniały projekt, przy którym możemy pracować w zakresie koncepcji oświetlenia i iluminacji. Całe zadanie obejmuje budowę kompleksu Muzeum Wojska Polskiego oraz budowę kładki wraz z przebudową i rozbudowę budynku magazynowego Kazamat nr 50 na usługowy. W zespole specjalistów QLAB Laboratory of Light opracowaliśmy koncepcję oświetlenia Zamku Królewskiego na Wawelu. Westerplatte – symbol heroizmu i patriotyzmu Polaków. W miejscu zniszczonej 2 września 1939 roku wartowni nr 5 stoi dziś Cmentarz Obrońców Westerplatte.
