'ARUP' COMPANY OFFICE

INTERIOR DESIGN: WORKPLACE

2022 WARSAW

As a company focused on implementing sustainability in the built environment, Arup's management wanted their workplace to demonstrate how to use sustainable and circular solutions in office developments - without blowing the budget.

Starting with interviews and workshops with colleagues from all teams and at different stages of their careers, together we imagined what a sustainable office that fosters collaboration, creativity and innovation should look like. In bringing this concept to life, we worked with Workplace, a research and design studio, and engaged our own experts for project management, sustainability consultancy and electrical and plumbing installations.

Guided by sustainability, we focused on reusing office furnishings and materials, upcycling and biomaterials. We installed a micro-leaf farm and a hydroponic farm, an eye-friendly lighting system and a rest area, all using circular economy principles. Our Warsaw office is an inspiring space that encourages collaboration while providing quiet zones for individual work and recharging batteries.
