The ballroom and conference room is located on the 34th floor of a skyscraper with a view of the Gdańsk skyline and the Baltic Sea. Concerts, training sessions, balls, literary evenings or television broadcasts are just a few of the functions for which the hall's lighting should be adapted.

Richard Kelly, a pioneer of architectural lighting, distinguished between three basic modes of illumination: focal glow, diffuse light and play of brilliants. The number of functions that the room has to fulfil requires the use of all of the above methods. The focussed glow of portable luminaires on tabletops, diffused light over the training auditorium and the brilliance of brilliants in chandeliers. The fireworks of the chandeliers are reflected in the glass and appear to float above the city.
