We are happy to share another piece of great news! The lighting designed by us for the Musical School in Jastrzębie has been recognised by the jury, which awarded our realisation an Honorable Mention in the international LIT Lighting Design Awards competition.
Designed by SLAS Architects, the synthetic and thoroughly contemporary volume with its slightly rounded corners and few but large glazings at ground floor level has a very expressive façade. The corrugated metal cladding acts like a mirror, reflecting the light - both during the day and the city lights at night. The minimalist, white interiors called for an equally minimalist handling of light, and the form of a luminous circle - like a theme in a piece of music - runs through many scenes. The interior of the concert hall contrasts with the rest of the building's spaces. Black and the warm colour of wood dominate here. It is like a black Yin surrounded by a white Yang - symbolising contrast and balance, whether in music, nature or life.
