SOBAŃSKI PALACE
ARCHITECTURE: WŁADYSŁAW HIRSZEL (1880)
2015 GUZÓW
Reminiscent of French castles on the Loire, the Sobanski Palace in Guzow is one of the most beautiful monuments in Mazovia.
The 18th-century manor house in Guzów was transformed at the end of the 19th century into a magnificent count's residence in Renaissance form. The building was erected on a rectangular plan, with a high basement, and the attic was adapted for living quarters. Two three-storey towers topped with obelisk helmets were situated on the sides. It was covered with a very high broken monastery roof with beautiful insets and dormers. The silhouette of the chateau is further enhanced by tall and carefully detailed chimneys.
The carefully restored palace will be illuminated in a way that brings out the full beauty of the Neo-Renaissance architecture.
